Shahnaz has now won three races. In June she won her first race at Hamilton at odds of 25/1, before going in again at Hamiton, followed by a career best at Carlisle.

She is by Decorated Knight. Decorated Knight progressed into a three-times Group 1 winner at 5, including the Irish Champion Stakes. He looks a particularly interesting as he improved with age and it seems likely his progeny will too.

The Dubawi dam Fol O'Yasmine was trained by William Haggas and was a winner at three. She was a half sister to the very smart Sayif who himself is now at stud. He was group 1 placed at 2, before winning a group 2 at 3 and then winning a listed race at 5.

Kym Eyre

Trained By Evan Williams, Kym Eyre is a four times winner who has now won a PTP, hurdle and chase race. Still only 7 years old, she is the right age to go on improving.

Her sire Mahler won the Queen's Vase before finishing runner up in the St Ledger and placed in the Melbourne Cup. His most noteable offspring include Cheltenham Group 1 Winner the Real Whacker.

Kym is out of Saddler's Hall mare which makes her a three quarters relation to The Big Dog who ran a huge race in this years Grand National.

Kym is a very honest mare who stays well and enjoys plenty of cut in the ground.

Sarkha Standing.jpg

Sarkha is a handsome gelding with plenty of size and scope. He is already a proven winner as recently as May and looks open to improvement. We bought this lad for very sensible money from a poor sale. He should relish the switch from a large yard in Newmarket to the Yorkshire countryside.

He is out of Saga Celbre who was already produced two 100+ horses on the flat and was herself a black type performer. Sarkha's sister is Sagely who has bred four time group one winner Perfect Power.

Sarkha is by The Gurkha who was unraced at 2, before winning the French 2,000 Guineas & Sussex Stakes at 3. He has group winners on the flat to his name and is also the stallion of Nicky Henderson Group 1 placed Luccia.

When making his debut in a ten-runner three-mile maiden point-to-point, Kalabana was described by the commentator as ‘one for the notebook’. It was hard to disagree that comment, for he moved smoothly into contention on the home turn – which was still half a mile from the finish – and then stayed on to finish third on ground which had been watered and was described as ‘tiring’ by several riders. The first two had the benefit of a recent run and came from very smart stables, and it is sure the experience will have taught this horse plenty.

The winner of that race was sold for £70k and the horse in second was only a length in front of Kalabana sold for £24k.

The sire has produced multiple group1 winners such as Champion Hurdle and Triumph Hurdle winner Katchit.

Capone is a handsome brown gelding who won three times over hurdles for his previous trainer Charlie Mann. Charlie purchased Capone after he ran a serious of promising races in Germany, including a listed race and in the German Derby.

After Charlie retired from racing, Dominic Ffrench Davis took on Capone and has been campaigning him back on the flat. He's a good work horse and has recently been rewarded with a Saturday success at Chester. Trainer Dominic Ffrench Davis has enjoyed a fine campaign achieving an incredible 20% strike rate.

Capone is by multiple group 1 winner Nathaniel and out of Codera who has produced multiple black type horses.
