It is a busy week upcoming with Maximum Racing syndicate likely to have three runners. It will be the first time we have had this many runners in a week, with each horse representing a different yard.
First up on Sunday is Voodoo Doll having his first ever outing for the club and trained by Evan Williams. We have got nine owners going to cheer him on and it is sure to be a good day. He will be ridden by Evan's daughter Eleanor over a distance of 2m 1f around Market Rasen. It represents a drop in grade and we think he should go well, albeit he will need to carry top weight.
Then on Monday we were supposed to have Carlovian running for trainer Mark Walford up at Ayr. They don't have enough rain so we have decided to wait till Catterick on Wednesday. He has been suffering all season with a recurring bruised foot but we are hoping back on his favored soft ground he can run well again.
Thursday last week we had Double Legend entered at Epsom but the soft ground kept him away from his local track. Roger Ingram has therefore entered him on Wednesday at Bath where better ground is assured. He hasn't run on turf for some time so this is a bit of an experiment but it isn't an especially good race. If he doesn't enjoy it, then we will switch him back to the AW.
