It was an early start this morning as we headed to Mark Walford's yard in the picturesque village of Sheriff Hutton, located just outside York.

The Estidhkaar yearling filly looked fantastic and Mark was really positive about her attitude at home. Mark feels she has improved a good deal in the past few months and they will step up her work next month.

She was an April foal so should be ready to run during the summer. The plan will be to start her over 6 furlongs on the turf before going up in trip.

We will shortly start the exciting process of choosing a name.

We also saw the ever reliable Carlovian who was looking fresh and ready to start his training next month after a well earned break. The plan will be to run him on the all weather a few times before the start of the turf season. Mark has every hope he will be winning a couple of races in 2021!
