A busy week with two runners. Carlovian lined up in a 5f race at Newcaslte and ran with credit but as expected needed the run. He has now been dropped 1lb by the handicapper. He will be seen to best effect over 6 furlongs on the turf.
Double Legend also ran a solid race. We had the worst possible draw and so we decided to try make the running. Unfortunately, he used up a lot on energy in doing so and he faded just before the finish. He has since been dropped 1lb and we think he will go close with a better draw next time.
Our next runner will likely be I Had a Dream (pictured below) who is returning from a minor operation. She is entered in a 0-55 at Southwell over 7f. I visited her at Steph's yard last week and she looks well and seems to be doing things with more enthusiasm. Fingers crossed for an improved showing although we expect her to be at her best on turf.
Our two year old filly continues to progress well and her work is being built up each week. All the signs so far are positive and we look forward to her debut around June time.
