Most the horses are running well. Capone went closest to notching a first victory of the flat season. He went to Chester and contested a competitive 2 mile race. He was beaten just half a length having been delivered from off the pace by Kevin Stott to almost perfection. It was a fantastic day out, Chester have absolutely nailed the ownership experience.
The Muffin Man headed to to Weatherby and ran into a place, having been priced as big as 125/1 at one point. He looks a fun horse who's turn should be too far away.
Shahnaz then stepped back up to a mile at Pontefract, a track she has run well at before. She completely fluffed the start but posted some good late sectionals to get beaten just three lengths. We will put the headgear back on ahead of next time.
Petite Sioux made her handicap debut with a tongue tie fitted as she'd been making a slight respiratory noise. She traveled well despite a wide passage and Sam James felt she'd win races if we her wind was corrected so we will now get this done before she runs again.
The horses are all running well and it feels like only a matter of time will we have another couple of winners.
